Visite terrain
NIAMEY, NIGER– The UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) visited the West African country of Niger, 11-12 November 2020 to express the UN solidarity to a country that has been hit with the dual crises of Covid-19, heightening insecurity and disastrous flooding in 2020.
During this high-level visit with representative of the UN Agencies, the Government of Niger and representative of the civil society organisations.
The mission follows on the steps of a first visit to the country in July 2019. It successfully engaged in constructive discussion with all the key stakeholders, conveying support, words of encouragement and congratulating the Nigerians for their resilience in such adverse environment
