The UN congratulated the President, the Government and people of Niger for the successful hosting of the AU double Summit. The Niger Government, working with the UN country team, to submit an emergency response proposal within two weeks to guide Secretary General’s engagement with the EU in support for initiatives in Niger and the Sahel. Programs envisaged under the Spotlight Initiative to be implemented under strict monitoring, evaluation, accountability and compliance standards, in line with Niger’s legal dispensations and cultural sensitivities.
